ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION

In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 13(2) and 13(4) read with Section 23 of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Act, 1987 (No. 52 of 1987), AICTE has reconstituted the All India Board of Pharmaceutical Education w. e. f 11th May, 2016 .

INTERNATIONAL BOARDS:




Founded in 1904, the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) aims to ensure the public’s health and safety through its pharmacist license transfer and pharmacist competence assessment programs, as well as through its VIPPS, VAWD, and DMEPOS accreditation programs.

NABP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit association that protects public health by assisting its member boards of pharmacy and offers programs that promote safe pharmacy practices for the benefit of consumers.

BPS :


The Board of Pharmacy Specialties ® was established in 1976 as an autonomous division of the American Pharmacists Association. The purpose of the BPS certification programs is to grant recognition of appropriate pharmacy practice specialties based on criteria established by BPS; to establish standards for certification and recertification of pharmacists in recognized pharmacy practice specialties; to grant qualified pharmacists certification and recertification in recognized pharmacy practice specialties; to serve as a coordinating agency and informational clearinghouse for organizations and pharmacists in recognized pharmacy practice specialties; and to enhance public/consumer protection by developing effective certification programs for specialty practices in pharmacy.
Currently there are more than 20,000 pharmacists worldwide who are BPS board certified in eight specialties: ambulatory care pharmacy, critical care pharmacy, nuclear pharmacy, nutrition support pharmacy, oncology pharmacy, pediatric pharmacy, pharmacotherapy and psychiatric pharmacy.
